Elisa Tomellini / 57th Concerts in Euphrasian Basilica

One of the oldest classical music festivals in Croatia, Concerts in Euphrasian Basilica, offers the best of classical music in the stunning, UNESCO-protected monument. The 57th concert season takes place from July to September, treating us to 12 concerts of Croatian and international musicians.

August 24, 9 pm

For the first time in Croatia, the Italian pianist will perform the complete études by Liszt in their original, non-simplified version, marked with a complex manuscript of dense and almost utopian

In the manuscript, the virtuoso Liszt tried to transpose any technical request he could come up with to the piano, as if he wanted to leave a testament of his acrobatic piano skills.

Elisa Tomellini is one the few pianists who have dared take on this gigantic undertaking, and the first and only woman in 180 years since the études were composed who performs the entire repertoire

in concerts.
